past present and future.Topic 291: Present your perspective on the issue below, "So much is new and complex today that looking back for an understanding of the past provides little guidance for living in the present." | Score & Analysis The essay talks about the growing complexity and modernness in each and every field of the world.I agree with the topic that looking back for an understanding of the past will provide a little guidance for living in the present. The best example can be taken from the History of our times. There was a time when the kings used to rule in almost each and every part of the world.They build great sculptors and wonderful buildings during their time.Amazingly they didnot require any machinery for the crafting but it was done with highly skilled artists of their times.If we check into the reality of our time there is a dearth of such good art which sometimes bewilders us and forces us to ponder about the skill which our ancestors had. Another best example i can give is the average life span of the human being which is now reduced to about 60 years but earlier it was 90-100yrs.Those days the human beings were very healthy and used to follow the nature's laws and rules.Now with the growiing usage of vehicles and necessity to follow the time constraint the situation is different.It immensly increases the pollution level causing so many complex diseases for which the cure is hard to find.Earlier the average man was fit enough to walk on for kilometers together without complaining on the joint paints but today even a small child has got vision problems and it is very difficult to find any child without wearing spectacles. Henceforth I would like to conclude that the growing complexity of today's life does not carry the wisdom of the past and provides a very little understanding of living in the present. - written by vijaya | Computer score: 3 What to do: |
